Care you can trust starts with information you can trust

ORCAA Connect is Australia’s registered care directory — built from government registers, verified independently, and never pay-to-rank.

Why we exist

Finding care in Australia usually happens at the hardest possible moment — a diagnosis, a discharge, an NDIS plan that finally lands, a parent who suddenly can’t manage alone. And at that moment, families discover the information is scattered across half a dozen government registers, directories that sell their top spots to the highest bidder, and word of mouth.

The providers doing the best work aren’t always the ones with the biggest marketing budget. We built ORCAA Connect so the right provider — not the best-advertised one — is the easiest to find.

What ORCAA Connect is

A single, searchable directory of Australia’s registered care providers — more than 45,000 listings across aged care, disability and NDIS support, and child care, with allied health and medical practitioners on the way. Every listing starts from an authoritative source: the NDIS Provider Register, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, ACECQA’s national registers and other government data.

Providers can then claim their listing, correct their details, and complete independent verification — registration, ABN and screening checks — shown as a badge families can rely on.

Three promises we won’t break

Verified, not advertised.

Trust badges reflect checks we actually perform against official registers — never a payment. A listing is either verified or it isn’t; money can’t change that.

Ranked by relevance, never by payment.

Search results are ordered by fit with what you’re looking for and by verification — full stop. Providers can pay for better tools and a richer profile, but no provider can pay to outrank a better match. If we broke this promise, we’d just be another advertising channel.

Free for families. Always.

Searching, comparing and contacting providers costs families nothing, and it never will. Our revenue comes from providers choosing verification and practice tools — never from placing themselves above the right answer, and never from you.

Where we’re headed

A directory tells you who exists. Families also need to know who can actually help, and who has room to take you on. We’re building toward coordinated care: introductions where availability is confirmed with the provider before you’re connected, so nobody’s left ringing down a list of full books. The whole circle of care — GPs, specialists, allied health, support workers, aged care and NDIS providers — in one trusted place.

The people behind ORCAA

Sorna Devadas, Founder and Managing Director of ORCAA

Sorna Devadas

Founder & Managing Director

Sorna is a computer engineer who has spent his career building software products for schools, businesses and communities. A strong sense of social responsibility inspired him to create ORCAA Connect after seeing how hard it is for families - including his own - to find the right care across fragmented registers and pay-to-rank directories. He has completed Harvard Medical School executive programs including AI in Health Care and Digital Health Transformation, and strongly believes technology can build stronger communities by bridging the knowledge and time gap between the most suitable care providers and the people who need them. Dr Andrea Devadas

Co-founder · Clinical Psychologist

Andrea is a clinical psychologist who has spent most of her career in public mental health with children and families - in emergency departments, acute mental health services, and residential care for young people with complex needs. She also holds a doctorate in social psychology, where her research explored how our social environments shape mental health and wellbeing. Raising two young children with little extended family nearby taught her firsthand that families need a village - and that finding the right support should never be the hardest part. From Port Macquarie, on Birpai land, Andrea guides ORCAA's clinical perspective: care that is connected, trustworthy and centred on the whole family.

Who we are

ORCAA Connect is built in Australia by ORCAA, with our data and infrastructure hosted onshore in Sydney — read how we protect it in our security & data handling statement. We’re independent: not owned by a provider group, not affiliated with the government bodies whose registers we draw on, and not paid to prefer anyone.
